Watts 3000SS Series double check detector assemblies (DCDAs) are components used to prevent the backflow of non-potable or contaminated water into the clean water supply. They utilise a double-check valve design separated by a detector assembly. In case of drop in pressure or backflow, these detector assemblies signal a loss of water, triggering alarms or shut-off mechanisms to safeguard the water quality and prevent contamination incidents. They prevent the backflow of fire protection system substances from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply. These detector assemblies feature stainless steel construction for structural rigidity and resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces. They can be operated at pressures up to 175 psi. These assemblies have a single-top access cover with a two-bolt grooved coupling for simplifying maintenance procedures to allow easier access to the internal components for inspection, cleaning or repairs. They are available in inlet sizes of 2-1/2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inches.
