CLittle Giant piggyback diaphragm switches provide control of a pump in water and sump applications. These UL listed & CSA certified pumps can convert any manual pump (up to 1/2 hp) to automatic operation. They have a compact design that allows operation in limited space.
ADayton float switches are manufactured to be used as level sensors to determine the level of fluid in sump basins. These switches turn On & Off depending on the water level and a preset value, maintaining the desired water level. They include a float that automatically raises & lowers depending on the water level of the sump basin. These switches are employed for large areas as the tether moves in an arc as the water level in the sump basin changes. Choose from a range of these float switches, available in 14, 16 and 18 inch wire gauge options.

Float switches are used for detecting the water level within a tank. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of water float switches from brands like Dayton, General Electric, Flowline, Madison and Little Giant. These switches can be used in sump and condensate pumps. Dayton float switches feature ABS / polypropylene floats that automatically raise & lower according to the water level of the sump basin. These UL 508 compliant switches offer leads / plugs / plugs with piggyback / stripped connections. They generate a maximum power of 3600 VA and are capable of being operated up to a temperature of 221 degrees F. Flowline level switches are designed for measuring the level of water, chemicals, oils, wastewater and dry solids. These CE compliant switches feature floats made of polypropylene to ensure low friction and chemical resistance. These stripped connection switches can withstand pressure and liquid temperature up to 29 psi and 122 degrees F, respectively. These float switches have a maximum pressure of 217 psi.
A tethered float switch is perfect for deeper sump pits with a large diameter. It extends the period of time between pump cycles, allowing the motor to cool down more efficiently. A vertical switch, on the other hand, is better for narrow and shallow sump pits and kicks off the pump more often.
A piggyback float switch plugs into a power outlet and allows the ON / OFF operation of the pump as the water level rises or falls.
Diaphragm float switches are activated when the water level rises and exert pressure on the float diaphragm. They are often used in applications where a float may hang up.
