Tritan Acrylic Columns

Oil Safe Tritan acrylic columns are used to indicate oil level in reservoirs and drain ports. They are made from impact-resistant PMMA, which is lighter and more durable than glass. They provide the same level of clarity as glass, making them ideal for outdoor use. These columns bond well with both adhesives & solvents, and do not produce harmful smoke or gases in the presence of flames (they are slow-burning & self-extinguishing). They are equipped with nylon level rings to act as indicators. Choose from a wide range of acrylic columns, available in 3 to 18 inch lengths on Raptor Supplies.

Features

  • They include tamper-proof red and green rings for easy level monitoring between ideal and running conditions, eliminating the risk of accidental adjustments.
  • They feature vent tubes for plumbing the air back to the headspace of the oil reservoir.
  • These columns are composed of crystal-clear and chemically-resistant Tritan material with NPT threads for durability and resistance to mineral & synthetic oils.
  • They withstand a maximum temperature and pressure of 200 degrees Fahrenheit and 65 psi, respectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tritan?

Tritan is a type of copolyester that is tough and BPA-free, used in various industrial products. It is impact and shatter-resistant and stays clear & durable even after repeated use.

What is a drain port?

Drain ports allow easy draining of condensate from cooling systems. The best location for a drain port is the lowest part of the loop so that gravity makes most of the coolant drain out by itself.
