EATON Danfoss PFR2-10 Series Flow Control Valves

Eaton Danfoss PFR2-10 Series flow control valves are suitable for controlling the fluid flow in a hydraulic system. They have a compact and rugged construction, making them well-suited for harsh environments. They also feature a smooth flow characteristic, allowing them to reduce system noise a...nd improve efficiency. The speed of these valves can be adjusted through a screw / knob, making them operate smoothly regardless of load variation.Read more

Working Mechanism

  • The position of the spool is controlled by the pressure applied to the valve's control ports.
  • During operation, fluid from the inlet port of the valve enters the valve body and flows through the spool.
  • When the spool is moved to another position, the fluid flow gets redirected to the outlet port.
  • The size of the orifice in the spool determines the fluid flow through the valve.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the function of Buna-N seals?

Buna-N seals provide a barrier between the moving components of the valve and the fluid being controlled. These seals provide a bubble-tight shutoff to prevent leakage and keep contaminants away from the valve.

What are pressure compensators?

Pressure compensators automatically adjust the size of the orifice between the inlet flow and compensator spool. This helps in modulating the flow rate of liquid to maintain a constant pressure drop across the orifice.

What is the difference between a flow control valve and directional control valve?

A directional control valve is designed to start, stop, accelerate, decelerate and change the direction of motion of the fluid flow. The flow control valve, on the other hand, controls the speed & flow of fluids in the hydraulic system.
