AIR HANDLER 99.99% Efficiency Microfiber HEPA Air Filters

Air Handler microfiber HEPA air filters are designed to remove a significant portion of particles from the air between 99.97% and 99.99%, with a particle size as small as 0.30 microns. These HEPA air filters are used in hospitals, operating rooms, patient isolation rooms and pharmaceutical proc...essing facilities where strict air cleanliness standards are required. They undergo a manufacturing process that involves testing, certification and labelling in adherence to current HEPA filter standards.Read more

Working Mechanism

  • Air Handler microfiber HEPA air filters employ three main mechanisms to capture particles: diffusion, interception and impaction.
  • Gas molecules smaller than 0.1 microns in size collide with each other causing a delay in passing through the HEPA filter to increase the chances of the next capture mechanisms for these smaller particles.
  • As air particles move along the airflow, they come into contact with the randomly arranged fibres of the HEPA filter. Due to the dense arrangement, these particles stick to the fibres through interception.
  • Larger air particles which are unable to navigate through the filter's gaps, directly collide with and embed themselves into the fibres of the HEPA filter through the mechanism of impaction.

Features

  • They feature galvanised steel construction for enhanced protection and prolonged service life.
  • These 99.99% efficiency microfiber HEPA air filters have Neoprene gaskets to prevent the entrance of dust and water.
  • They offer microglass media material to remove containment and increased dirt-holding capacity & flow rates.

Standards and Approvals

  • UL

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean and maintain these HEPA filters?

  • Turn off the HVAC system to prevent airflow and potential damage during the cleaning process.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust and debris from the filter surface. Avoid applying excessive pressure to prevent damage.
  • If allowed by the manufacturer, use compressed air to blow off trapped particles from the filter. Adhere to safety precautions and guidelines, such as wearing protective gear and avoiding direct contact with the filter media.
  • If the filters are washable according to the manufacturer's instructions, rinse them with water or use a mild detergent solution. Thoroughly rinse and ensure the filters are completely dry before reinstalling.
  • Regularly inspect the filters for any damage or wear. Look for tears, holes, or deformities in the filter media. Replace damaged filters promptly.

Are Air Handler microfiber HEPA air filters suitable for people with allergies or respiratory conditions?

Yes, Air Handler HEPA filters are beneficial for individuals with allergies or respiratory conditions as they can effectively capture allergens and airborne particles that may trigger symptoms. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional for personalised advice.

What is the operating temperature range of Air Handler 99.99% efficiency microfiber HEPA air filters?

These HEPA air filters have operating temperatures ranging from 140 to 250 degrees F.

What factors should be considered while choosing these HEPA air filters?

  • Opt for filters with high filtration efficiency, such as 99.99%, to effectively remove particles and contaminants from the air.
  • Ensure the filters are the correct size for your HVAC system's air handler to ensure proper fit and functionality.
  • Consider the airflow capacity or pressure drop of the filters, ensuring they align with your HVAC system's requirements to avoid strain on the system.
  • Evaluate whether microfiber HEPA filters meet your specific needs based on the environment and types/sizes of particles you want to capture.
  • Assess the expected lifespan of the filters and choose based on your maintenance preferences and budget.
  • Confirm that the HEPA filters are compatible with your HVAC system's air handler unit by checking manufacturer specifications.
  • Look for filters tested, certified and labelled in accordance with current HEPA filter standards to ensure quality and performance.
  • Consider the cleaning and maintenance requirements of the filters, including whether they are washable or disposable, based on your maintenance capabilities.
  • Evaluate the cost of the filters in relation to their filtration efficiency and lifespan, finding a balance between affordability and desired filtration levels.
