TB Series Industrial Control Transformers, 240 x 480V Primary
Acme Electric TB Series industrial control transformers are designed to convert higher primary voltage to secondary voltage, making them suitable for control and automation applications. They also accommodate the momentary inrush current that occurs when electromagnetic components are energised while ensuring that the secondary voltage remains stable within practical limits. This feature is useful for control circuits that involve the activation of electromagnetic devices like solenoids, relays or motors. The transformer's windings and internal terminals are enclosed and encapsulated for providing added protection against dust, moisture and other environmental factors. These units are made of silicon steel to exhibit excellent magnetic flux and reduce core losses, and have steel mounting plates to adapt to various mounting dimensions while ensuring structural stability. Their integrally molded terminal blocks have isolation barriers that prevent arc over and are designed to match TA Series blocks for easy interchangeability. These UL-listed & CSA-certified transformers can accommodate external secondary fuse clips to provide the secondary side of the transformer from overcurrent or short-circuit conditions.
