Product Details:

Victor Thermal Dynamicscutting torches are ideal for oxy-fuel cutting of metal workpieces by heating them at appropriate temperatures. These cutting torches use gases, such as propane, propylene, acetylene, natural gas and other fuel gases. The Victor track torches are available in 75, 90 & 180 degrees head angles and have lengths ranging from 8 to 48 inches for cutting workpieces placed at diverse angles and distances from the user.
Victor torches having 21 inch lengthhave 90 degrees angled head for cutting workpiece parallel to the torch length. These Victor track torches have stainless steel gas tubes for corrosion resistance and a narrow forged brass head for high visibility while cutting.
Victor 0381-1621 cutting torch or Victor ST900FC cutting torch is equipped with flashback arrestors & reverse flow check valves to prevent hazards due to movement of flame or fuel gases from the torch tip into the gas line. This Victor Technologies ST900FC / 0381-1621 heavy duty cutting torch has two inlet connections for connecting the oxygen & gas lines to the torch. It is further equipped with a cutting oxygen lever & forward valves for additional safety. Victor ST900FC cutting torch is also fitted with an appropriately sized cutting tip for cutting metal and metal alloy pieces up to a depth of 5 inches.
Raptor Supplies also delivers this Victor ST900FC / 0381-1621 cutting torch in a variant (Victor ST2600FC / 0381-1480) that can cut up to 8 inches depth.

Uses:

Victor ST900FC cutting torch is used for cutting workpieces made of metal and metal alloys in fabrication, construction, repair & maintenance, railroad, shipyard and farm maintenance applications.

Features:

  • Victor ST900FC / 0381-1621 torch is used to cut metal workpieces.
  • It uses oxygen and fuel gases like acetylene & propylene to heat up the workpieces.
  • Victor ST900FC torch uses a cutting tip to cut, pierce or gouge out the heated metal surfaces up to 5 inches in depth.
  • It has stainless steel tubes, die-forged brass head and a ribbed brass handle for durability and strength under harsh usage in extreme environments.
  • Victor ST900FC torch is equipped with built-in reverse flow check valves and flashback arrestors for stopping the flammable fuel gases & oxygen from returing back to the hoses and causing fire related accidents.
  • It has two inlet connections for connecting to oxygen & fuel gas hoses.
  • Victor ST900FC torch has a 90 degree head angle for placing cutting tip perpendicular to workpieces.

Compatible Accessories:

  • Fuel hose: Users need to fit two fuel hoses, one carrying oxygen and another carrying acetylene / fuel gas into the inlet connections of Victor ST900FC torch.
  • Cutting tip: These cutting tips attach to Victor ST900FC torch head to provide clean cuts on heated metal surfaces.
  • Fuel regulator: These fuel regulators are used to regulate the pressure & specific ratio of oxygen and acetylene / fuel gas into Victor ST900FC torch for optimum cutting performance.
  • Flashback arrestor set: These flashback arrestor sets are used to replace the worn-out, faulty or old flashback arrestors in Victor ST900FC torch, ensuring safe operation without any chance of fire related accidents.
  • Welding helmet: Users or operators need to wear these welding helmets to protect themselves from sparks or metal pieces generated during the cutting operation. They have a protective lens cover over the eyes for viewing the workpieces clearly without risking the users' safety.
  • Striker or lighter: These strikers or lighters are used to start the flame from Victor ST900FC torch. Users should use a striker that can be fired from a distance to protect their hands from injuries.

Installation:

Victor ST900FC torch has two inlet connections for fitting to two hoses (oxygen and fuel gas) that are attached to their respective gas cylinders through a fuel / pressure regulator. Victor ST900FC / 0381-1621 cutting torch head is also attached with a cutting tip according to size & depth of the desired cut on the metal workpieces.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What are some common troubleshooting techniques for Victor ST900FC cutting torch?

A.

  • Check torch tip for clogged debris or metal particles.
  • Check for any cracks or breaks on Victor ST900FC cutting torch to prevent fuel or oxygen leaks.
  • Inspect the valves, hoses & pressure gauges to deliver correct pressure from tanks into the torch lines.

Q. How hot is the flame generated by Victor ST900FC cutting torch?

A. The preheat flame generated by mixing oxygen and some fuel gas in Victor ST900FC cutting torch may reach temperatures ranging from 4400 to 6000 degrees F, depending on the ratio of oxygen to fuel gas used.

Q. Does Raptor Supplies offer this Victor ST900FC / 0381-1621 cutting torch in other variants?

A. Raptor Supplies offer this 21 inch long Victor ST900FC torch in a variant having cutting depth up to 8 inches. Customers can also browse through Victor cutting torches page on our website for variants having diverse cutting depths, lengths and head angle.

Q. What is the main difference between a cutting torch and a welding torch?

A. Primary difference between cutting torches and welding torches is that a cutting torch is used to cut metals into smaller pieces, whereas a welding torch is ideal for joining different metal pieces together. Users need to use the appropriate torches for their applications as they can not be used interchangeably.

Q. Who owns Victor Thermal Dynamics?

A. ESAB, a world leader in welding & cutting equipment and consumables, owns Victor Technologies Holdings, Inc., maker of Victor ST900FC cutting torch.
