Krytox GPL 105 is a high-performance PTFE oil lubricant. This lube is recommended for springs and linear switches. It is a clear, colourless, fluorinated synthetic oil that is non-reactive, non-flammable and safe for applications involving chemicals or oxygen.
Features:
- Non-flammable solution will not burn, even in 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen.
- Compatible with all elastomeric seals and engineering plastics.
- Chemically inert to virtually all chemicals, including oxygen, chlorine, sulfuric acid and nitric acid.
- Insoluble in most solvents and steam-resistant.
- Has low surface tension and easily wets metallic surfaces.
- No effect on metals at temperatures up to 288 degrees C (550 degrees F).
- Lasts longer, so less lubricant is needed.
- Non-toxic and does not release volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere.
- Combines stability, high-temperature performance and chemical inertness with outstanding lubrication.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What precautions must one take while using Krytox 105 lubricant?
A. - GPL 105 lubricant is resistant to many solvents and cannot be cleaned with soap & water.
- Spills are extremely difficult to clean up and should be wiped down with a clean microfiber cloth.
- Wear gloves and cover the work surface with a protective plastic sheet.
Q. Is ongoing lubrication required if Krytox lubricants are used?
A. In most applications, the time between relubrications can be extended by months or years. When corrugators are used for bearing applications, relubrication is typically required every three to twelve months, depending on the equipment's operational rate. Because Krytox lubricants are extremely long-lasting, relubrication can be avoided entirely in sealed systems.
Q. Can Krytox grease be mixed with other greases?
A. Despite the fact that Krytox grease will not react with other greases, decompose or cause hazardous reactions, it will not prevent the other lubricant from breaking down due to heat and oxidation. Krytox lubricants should not be mixed with any oil or grease containing non-perfluoropolyether (PFPE).
