Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How many PSI is full vacuum?
A. 14.7 psi.
Q. How is the vacuum different from pressure?
A. It is only a pressure that is a magnitude lower than the atmospheric pressure in the area. A vacuum can be any pressure between 0 psi and 14.7 psi.
Q. How do you increase the vacuum pressure?
A.
There are two ways to change the pressure in a vacuum system.
First, by varying the pumping speed (changing the pump's speed or throttling by closing a valve).
Second, by allowing gas to enter the system (opening a valve).
