Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Which blade set is ideal for woodworking projects - stacked or wobble?
A. The stacked dado blade set is better for cutting grooves in wood as it comprises two blades and various chippers that fit in between the two blades. The wobble dado blade set, on the other hand, contains only a single blade with a collar.
Q. What is the use of micro-grain carbide teeth?
A. They deliver clean cuts and minimum splintering during the operation.
Q. How to set up a dado stack?
A.
- Unplug the saw and remove the nut, outer flange & saw blade from the arbour shaft.
- Quickly determine the proper rotation of the outside saws and chippers.
- Place the inside flange on the arbour shaft and install the left outside saw blade with the high point of the angled teeth on the outside of the cut.
- Add the desired number of chippers and shims. Spread them throughout the stack for optimal balance and cutting performance.
- Add the right outside saw blade and make sure that the chipper teeth are inside the gullet area of the right outside saw blade.
- Install the outer flange and tighten the nut. The nut should be secured by a minimum of 3 threads on the arbour shaft.
- Make sure that all the safety guards are in place and reinstall the table saw dado insert (if using a table saw).
- Plug in the saw and perform a test cut in scrap wood to ensure the desired cut width.
- Adjust the cut width shims as necessary.
