Product Details:

Anvil FIG 171 single pipe roll is designed for pipe suspension from two rods where longitudinal contraction and expansion may happen.

Features:

  • Anvil FIG 171 single pipe roll has cast iron construction with black oxide finish for compresive strength and adding thickness to the material.
  • It comes with an adjustable socket to allow vertical adjustment at the roll during installation.
  • This pipe roll is engineered for two point surface contacts with either a saddle or pipe.
  • It delivers protection against corrosive environments & severe weather conditions.
  • It offers low coefficient of friction between resilient coated pipe roller and pipe.
  • This non-conductive pipe roller prevents passing of current from pipeline to structure.
  • It can accommodate pipe sizes from 1 to 30 inches, at temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Compatible Accessories:

  • Anvil FIG 140 Threaded Rods: They are threaded on both ends to securely screw into the pipe roll via coupling nuts or bolts having the same body & pitch diameters.

Standards and Approvals:

  • A-A-1192A (Type 41)
  • WW-H-171-E (Type 42)
  • ANSI / MSS SP-69

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How do you cut a threaded rod?

A.

  • At the cutoff spot, thread two nuts onto the bolt.
  • Securely tighten them against each other.
  • Saw against the shoulder for creating a clean, right-angled cut.
  • Loosen the nuts.
  • To clear burrs created by sawing, file a slight bevel around the end.
  • Spin off the nuts to clean and realign the threads.

Q. How are pipe clamps measured?

A.

  • Install the hose on the pipe or fitting, which expands the hose.
  • Measure the outside diameter (O.D.) of the hose.
  • Select a clamp which can accommodate that diameter in about the middle of its clamping range.
