Midspan power injectorssupply power and pass on data (text, audio and video) when connected directly with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices or with non PoE devices through a separate adapter. Altronix NetWay1D indoor single port midspan injector uses Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology for enabling network cables to carry both electrical power & data simultaneously. The PoE compliant devices can be at a maximum distance of 100 m from the midspan NetWay1D injector. The NetWay1D power injector gets its power supply through an IEC 320 connector (located at the backside of the device), having a voltage rating of 115VAC (at 1.2A) and 230VAC (at 0.75A). This device delivers PoE (15W), PoE+ (30W) and Hi-PoE (60W) power outputs using all 4 pairs of ethernet cable (CAT5e) at a data transmission speed of 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps. It is also equipped with an auxiliary power connector having 56VDC / 60W output rating for safely transmitting data and power over a coax cable of length up to 500 m. This auxiliary Class 2 rated power limited output is used by Altronix eBridge Plus receivers to provide a cost effective way for replacing legacy analog devices with new IP devices / cameras over existing coax cables. NetWay1D power injector reduces extra wiring as it transmits data & power over ethernet / data cable that is already in place instead of installing additional power sockets for each of the devices. It has a lightweight & compact body for installation in indoor locations with limited space. This injector comes with numerous safety features like surge protection, auto-detection & protection facility of legacy non-PoE cameras / devices and LED indicators for port status, PoE status & IP link status.Raptor Supplies also offers Netway1XPmidspan power injector having shutdown triggers for manually shutting down power transmission to the PoE devices.

Standards and Approvals:
- Altronix NetWay1D midspan power injector is UL & cUL listed (for Information Technology Equipment; UL 60950-1) & CE marked (European Conformity) for ensuring enhanced performance and user safety.
Installation:
- Altronix NetWay1D injector is securely mounted on table or desktop in indoor locations.
- Then, a grounded AC line cord (included) is plugged into the IEC 320 connector of the NetWay1D unit using a reliable earth grounded socket. A receptacle controlled by a switch should not be connected to the power supply of the unit.
- Two structured cables can be used to connect the [IN] port to a UL-listed ethernet switch or a video server and the [OUT] port to the PoE device.
- Port status & PoE On LED indicators will illuminate once the PoE device is turned on.
- The devices requiring auxiliary power are linked to the marked terminals [+AUX–].
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can we connect any PoE device to the Netway1D power injector?
A. Altronix Netway1D is compatible with PoE devices requiring power supply ratings of 15, 30 & 60W.
Q. What kind of input power supply is required in Netway1D?
A. It is recommended to use a grounded AC line cord to deliver universal power input at 115VAC (1.2A) or 230VAC(0.75A).
Q. What is a midspan power injector?
A. Midspan power injectors are PoE devices that connect a data server with a PoE-capable device (such as an IP camera). These injectors add (or inject) power to an ethernet or data cable for powering PoE devices without connecting each device to a separate power supply.
Q. How far can power injectors work?
A. Netway1D PoE injector can transfer both power and data to powered devices at a maximum distance of 100 m.
Q. What are the advantages of midspan power injectors?
A. PoE injectors or midspan power injectors deliver power & data to PoE devices with greater reliability, faster transmission speed and better security compared to WiFi enabled cameras. These PoE injectors also reduce the wirings associated with directly powered devices.
