309 Series Drum Tumblers

Morse Drum 309 Series drum tumblers hold closed drums on an angle and rotate them corner-to-corner to achieve a homogenous mixture. They can accommodate 55 / 30 gallon plastic, steel or fibre drums and are powered by explosion proof / air / inverter / TEFC type motors at a maximum speed of 14 RPM. These tumblers can handle ingredients with capacities up to 800 lb and allow the loading of an upright drum with the help of a crane or Morse below-hook drum lifter.

Features

  • These drum tumblers can easily operate on plastic, steel or fibre drums.
  • They rotate the drums at a fixed speed of 14 rpm.
  • These 55-gallon drum tumblers feature three-phase inverter duty motors.

Compatible Accessories

  • Morse Drum 92 Series Drum Lifters: These below-hook drum lifters are used to lift the drums and place them onto these tumblers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I ensure proper balance and stability when using drum handling equipment?

To ensure balance and stability, always centre the drum within the gripping or supporting mechanisms of the equipment. Also, avoid uneven loading or exceeding the equipment's weight capacity.

How are these electrically powered tumblers better than the manual units?

These electrical models enhance efficiency and reduce manual labour. They are useful for handling heavy drums or frequent lifting tasks.

What is the load capacity of these drum tumblers?

These tumblers can work with full drums weighing up to 800 lb and drums that are only halfway full and weigh up to 400 lb.

Why is it simpler to work on a full drum than a half?

Morse Drum 55-gallon drum tumbler can handle full drums better because a partially full drum loses balance upon rotation.
