TIG Welders

Miller Electric TIG welders are suitable for welding SS, aluminium, magnesium, copper, nickel alloy and steel workpieces for metalworking, manufacturing and maintenance & repair applications. These welding machines feature a compact & lightweight design for job-site portability & ease-of-operation. Selected models come equipped with Squarewave technology for delivering arc stability while preventing arc rectification & eliminating tungsten erosion. They also have digital meters for displaying actual voltage & amperage rating and adaptive hot start for providing arc strikes without sticking. Choose from a wide range of TIG welders, available in single & three phase variants on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • They work on the fundamental principle of heat generation due to the electric arc.
  • This heat is further employed to melt base plate metal and consumable electrodes, making a robust joint.
  • The protected gases are also supplied through the nozzle that secures the weld zone from other reactive gases. It provides a fine surface finish and a powerful joint.

Features

  • These welding machines feature a compact & lightweight design for job-site portability and ease of operation.
  • They also have digital meters for displaying actual voltage & amperage rating and adaptive hot start for providing arc strikes without sticking.
  • These TIG welders feature advanced pulse welding technology for precise control over heat input, ideal for thin materials and intricate welds.
  • They come with a high-frequency start function, ensuring quick and stable arc ignition and reducing the risk of tungsten contamination.
  • These electric welders offer AC / DC capability, enabling welding on a wide range of materials, from aluminium and stainless steel to copper and titanium.
  • They are equipped with a built-in cooling system to prevent overheating during prolonged welding sessions, ensuring consistent performance and extended machine lifespan.
  • These TIG welders have a digital interface with customisable welding parameters, allowing operators to fine-tune settings for specific applications.
  • Selected models further feature Squarewave technology for delivering arc stability while preventing arc rectification & eliminating tungsten erosion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between TIG and MIG welding?

  • TIG welding is more robust and provides higher quality as compared to MIG welding.
  • When two pieces of metal are fused, TIG is performed without filler metal, whereas MIG uses feed wire for welding.

What factors should I consider when choosing a TIG welder?

  • Material type and thickness.
  • Desired welding processes (AC / DC).
  • Amperage and duty cycle requirements.

What safety precautions should I take when using these electric welders?

  • Always wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Maintain a clutter-free workspace.
  • Be aware of electrical hazards and hot surfaces.
