Features

  • They feature alarms with volt-free contacts that signal and operate a switch to open / close when the tank indicates rise / drop in the water level.
  • These pumps have a compact design for allowing easy installation, smaller footprint and quieter operation.
  • They offer thermal overload protection to prevent dangerous overheating that can cause motor failure.
  • They also come with a 6 foot power cord to easily position the pump and multiple inlet options for quick connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are volt-free contacts?

Volt-free contacts or dry contacts (where no current or voltage will flow) operate an auxiliary device that sends closed / open contact signals to the pumping system.

What is a high-level alarm?

It is a device installed in a condensate tank that buzzes an alarm to prevent the excessive build-up of condensate, thereby protecting against leaks and overflows that can cause severe water damage.

What are the installation steps of HAD Series condensate pumps?

  • Ensure that the pump is disconnected from the main power source before installation / working on the pump.
  • Cut out a suitable size area in the ceiling to allow the ducting (conduit) to feed through.
  • When installing the refrigeration pipes, make sure there is room for the condensate pump in the corner of the ducting.
  • Next, insert the drain pipe (tube) from the condensate tray into the inlet of the reservoir. If the drain pipe is larger than the inlet, use the large pipe (tube) adapter and secure with a connection to prevent it from leaking water.
  • Secure the connection between the discharge tube and pump outlet with a suitable pipe clamp or cable tie.
  • Optional alarm connection disables the cooling equipment in the event the pump fails or is unable to remove the water due to obstruction in the discharge tube.
  • Once the pump has been tested secure the ducting covers and ceiling plate.
