  • They have moulded cases to hold current-carrying components, trip devices and mechanisms integrated into one unit.
  • These circuit breakers have a three-pole design with interrupting ratings of 35kA at 480VAC, 25kA at 600VAC and 65kA at 240VAC.
  • They come with an enhanced, easy-to-use interface, allowing the user to view and make adjustments to the trip unit settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between non-interchangeable and interchangeable circuit breakers?

  • When the trip unit in non-interchangeable or fixed breakers needs to be replaced, the entire breaker needs to be changed.
  • In interchangeable breakers, only the trip needs to be replaced without opening the whole unit.

How is the tripping status indicated?

Eaton moulded case circuit breakers feature a trip flag to indicate the TRIPPED and OFF status of the breaker.

What is the breaking capacity of an MCCB?

The breaking capacity of an MCCB is defined as the maximum level of fault current which can be safely cleared by tripping, thus preventing permanent damage.

How to reset a moulded case circuit breaker that has been tripped?

When the breaker trips, it can be reset again by pressing the OFF and then the ON pushbutton, which closes the breaker contacts and starts the current flow.
