EATON CS-SP-6 Series Split Core Current Sensors

Eaton CS-SP-6 Series split core current sensors are ideal for monitoring & measuring AC currents in electrical systems. They can be easily installed in retrofit applications without disconnecting the electrical circuit due to their split-core design that allows the sensor to be placed around ex...isting conductors, reducing downtime and improving user safety. They can be integrated with existing systems for data logging / recording, energy management & cost allocation and power monitoring operations. They have a rigid housing case made of UL 94V-0 plastic and adhere to ETL & RoHS standards.Read more

Working Mechanism

  • Eaton CS-SP-6 Series split core current sensors work by measuring the magnetic field generated by an alternate current.
  • When an AC flows through the connected circuit, it creates a magnetic field passing through the sensor core. This magnetic field induces a current in the sensor, proportional to the magnitude of the AC.
  • The output current of the sensor is a low-level AC signal that can be processed & amplified by an electronic circuit for monitoring the alternate current.
