  • The A-L Series knurled threaded inserts feature a knurled body and large diameter-low profile head for use in punched or drilled holes.
  • They are used with Grade 5 or Metric 8.8/9.8 mating screws and offer the highest all-around strength qualities.
  • The A-L insert can be installed using AVK's ARO brand Pneumatic Tools or AVK's SPP pneumatic / hydraulic tools.
  • These tools can be located at any position on the assembly line and can be installed either before or after finish.

What kind of material may a rivet nut be used on?

Rivet nuts typically have a gripping range of 0.010 to 0.500 inches. However no rivet nut can accommodate the entire range.

Are all rivet nuts similar?

There are two types of rivet nuts: one forms a bulge on the back side as a screw is tightened on its threads and the other is drawn into a sleeve to produce the connecting bulge on the back side.

Do we require a special tool for rivet nuts?

To install rivet nuts without a tool, users require a bolt that has its own nut and can fit into the rivet nut. Users should also have a washer or larger bushing that can fit around the bolt fairly tight.
