Wood screws tightly press their threads into the material for a vibration-resistant assembly.
They are divided primarily into 3 parts: the head, the threaded portion and the tip point.
The head is available in multiple styles & drives for driving the screw into / out out of the material.
The threaded section below the head catches the material & prevents the screws from coming out of the workpiece.
The tip section below the threading is available in numerous screw end designs for penetrating the material and improving product performance.
Selected screws come with a washer / flanged head to evenly distribute the load and provide a leak-tight seal in outdoor applications.
Some screws have oversized heads to deliver high holding power while preventing pull-throughs.
Some Grainger wood screws are self-drilling in nature for hard wooden surfaces.
Fabory wood screws are available in flat, rounded, raised countersunk & oval head styles, and lengths ranging from 3/8 to 4 inches.
