The 152A Series process steam pressure regulators manufactured by Watts are designed to control steam pressure in oil lines, autoclaves, vulcanisers, steam irons and single radiators. These regulators offer highly sensitive responses to reduced pressure changes and maintain fullest possible fluid volume with minimal pressure drop. These pressure reducing valves are capable of bearing supply pressures up to 200 psi. Watts pressure regulators are made of iron and feature a stainless-steel screener, a disc, a stem guide and a sensitivity adjuster to eliminate vibrations caused by critical flow conditions. Their standard bypass feature allows the water to flow back through the valve into the main when pressures exceed the pressure in the main supply.
These water pressure reducing valves feature lead-free cast copper silicon alloy construction that can handle temperatures within the range of 33 to 180 degrees F.

Working Mechanism

Locate the water pressure reducing valve. It is installed near the main water line where it enters the building.
Identify the adjustment mechanism on the valve. It is usually a screw or a knob located on top or at the side of the valve.
Using a screwdriver or wrench, turn the adjustment screw or knob clockwise to increase the outlet pressure or counterclockwise to decrease it.
Make small adjustments and periodically check the outlet pressure using a pressure gauge.
Once you have set the desired outlet pressure, ensure that the adjustment mechanism is securely tightened to prevent unintentional changes.
