Submersible Sewage Pumps

Little Giant submersible sewage pumps are used in various municipal and industrial dewatering and wastewater treatment applications, as well as in sewage systems. These pumps feature a permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor with thermal overload protection for better service life. These sewage pumps have a corrosion-resistant cast iron housing and can handle solid waste from various dewatering, effluent and wastewater transfer applications. Submersible Sump Pumps

Little Giant submersible sump pumps drain out water from basement sump pits and manage while being completely underwater. They are immersed in the water to cool the pump motors so that they can operate longer without getting overheated. These pumps come equipped with a switch that starts the pump motor when sump pit water rises to a required height and stops the pump motor when the water comes down.

Features

  • Little Giant submersible sewage pumps are of the centrifugal variant having a unique design to allow solids to pass through the pump without clogging.
  • It has a permanent split capacitor motor for continuous duty operations.
  • Most of these pumps have cast iron motor housing for structural rigidity.
  • These pumps are equipped with vortex impellers and a large outlet at the top with no bottom screen to allow debris flow while preventing clogging during effluent transfer.
  • Many of these pumps are manually controlled, but some pumps have a float switch to regulate the automatic operation mode of the pump.

Working Mechanism

  • When Little Giant submersible sewage pumps are turned On, their motor starts rotating the impeller.
  • This generates pressure and causes the sewage to push through the impeller into the discharge pipe.
