Mixing Valves

Mixing valves are designed for adjusting the water temperature coming out of the water heater, by automatically mixing the correct amount of cold water, to maintain safe and optimal outlet conditions. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of these valves from brands like Acorn, Cash Acme, Bradley, Leonard Valve, Powers, Speakman, Taco, Watts, Wilkins and Guardian Equipment. Watts thermostatic mixing valves are capable of protecting the plumbing assembly from thermal shocks, scalding and contamination caused by untempered and unmonitored water supply. These units feature a temperature locking mechanism preventing unauthorised altering of the set temperature settings and a filter screen for keeping the particulates away from the valve. They are available in solder, compression, threaded, quick-connect and solvent weld outlet fitting options to facilitate easy installation and maintenance. Leonard Valve mixing valves are bronze constructed devices with locking temperature regulators, set at a maximum of 85 degrees F, for preventing accidental setting changes. These valves are integrated with a special internal cold water bypass facility capable of handling flow rates and pressures up to 20 GPM and 30 PSI, respectively in the case of a hot water supply failure. They are available in a wide range of faucet sizes ranging up to 2 Inches on Raptor Supplies.

Features

Watts Master Mixing Valves

  • These thermostatic mixing valves are used to mix hot and cold water to bring down the service water to a safe and comfortable level for the building's distribution piping system.
  • They feature a copper paraffin thermostat to sense and adjust the outlet temperature, a single-seat design and a vandal-resistant locking mechanism to prevent tampering with temperature settings.
  • The interior walls of these units are made of polysulfone that resists excessive heat, corrosion and liming.
  • They have a lead-free brass construction for excellent corrosion resistance and are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 180 degrees F.

Powers Mixing Valves

  • HydroGuard Series mixing valves are designed to blend hot and cold water by utilising an advanced thermal actuation technology for tepid water delivery to emergency fixtures.
  • They include a unique internal cold water bypass and check valve to ensure the delivery of cold water flow in the event of hot water failure.
  • Power's valves feature a booster funnel to channel water flow directly around the paraffin actuator helps improve response time and enhances flow control.
  • They are also included with triple-duty check stops to prevent cross-flow and provide complete isolation for repair and maintenance.

Working Mechanism

  • These mixing valves have a temperature sensor that detects the water temperature in the mixing chamber.
  • If the temperature of water deviates from the desired temperature, these valves adjust the flow of hot and cold water to bring it to a constant temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the optimal temperature range for Power's mixing valves?

Power's HydroGuard Series mixing valves must have an adjustable outlet temperature range of 65 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is the function of advanced paraffin actuation technology?

An advanced paraffin actuation technology is designed to quickly compensate for temperature fluctuations due to changes in inlet temperature or pressures.

What is the use of a single-seat design in Master mixing valves?

Watts Master Series mixing valves have a single-seat design that ensures tight shut-off in the event of cold water supply loss, preventing hot water from flowing through the valve and potentially causing scalding or other hazards.
