These nuts are used in place of standard nuts to reduce vibrations in machinery and join soft metals.
Flexlock hex locknuts come with flexible tops to provide secure & tight holding with fasteners, by expanding inside them when inserted.
They are available in UNC & UNF thread types.
These locking nuts have an integral locking device that uses grub screws tightened against a pressure plate, with a thread profile machined into it.
When the screw is tightened, the threads are not damaged, and mounting & dismounting are simple.
There are no additional washers or nuts required with locknuts.
