Features

  • Drywall anchors, also known as drywall plugs, are hollow, self-expanding screw attachments used to create a strong connection between a wall and a screw. These fasteners allow installing or hanging items on a wall when studs are not available. They are suitable for hanging towel bars, framed artwork, curtain rods, shelves, mirrors and plants. These anchors feature a hollow centre for supporting the screw.
  • Expansion anchors are fasteners used in masonry base material to provide holding power through expansion. The ends of expansion shield anchors spread during installation to grip the surrounding surface, preventing the anchor from slipping out of the opening. These anchors have threaded inline for easy removal and maintenance. There are two types of expansion anchors: pre-expanded & unexpanded anchors. Pre-expanded expansion anchors are inserted into a pre-drilled hole and compressed before exerting force to create holding power.
  • Unexpanded expansion anchors must be set after they have been installed into the pre-drilled hole.
  • Hollow-wall anchors, also known as molly bolts, have a pointed metal body with a spiked collar and screw. Similar to expansion anchors, these anchors also require a pilot hole. Spikes on the collar of the anchor hold it in position once it has been installed while the screw is being cranked. The anchor body behind the wall contracts because of the screw, and flanges that fasten it against the wallboard's rear extend.
  • Toggle anchors provide load-bearing support for hanging items, artwork and plants from ceiling drywall. They are used to install handrails on staircases. There are two types of toggle anchors: strap and screw.
  • Dewalt hollow wall anchors are ideal for light-duty mounting applications on hollow walls, brick, concrete & plaster. These polyethylene wall anchors resist corrosion, have Phillip slotted screws and are capable of holding loads up to 90 lb in drywall.
