Hex head cap screws have a flat washer face positioned beneath the thick, hexagonal head to offer a large bearing surface for wrench tightening.
They have a six-sided head without a recess.
These screws allow greater torque than conventional screws with a circular head, owing to the hexagonal shape.
They are less prone to stripping than other screws as they distribute the turning force on all six sides.
These hex cap screws are manufactured by turned CNC operation or a cold-heading process.
They are designed for use with nuts or for insertion in pre-tapped holes.
These screws are available in lengths ranging from 6 mm to 100 feet.
