These studs have threads on both sides.
Since they are forged and cast into shape as a single piece of solid metal, they are stronger than typical bolts.
These studs are generally used with two heavy or regular hex nuts.
A full thread bolt applies pressure evenly along its length once it is mounted, with the most holding pressure being applied to the head where the bolt contacts the material it is being fastened to.
