SPEEDAIRE Cylinder Position Sensors

Filter

Speedaire pneumatic cylinder position sensors are designed to detect the position of pneumatic cylinders. They are ideal for application in industrial automation systems to monitor the cylinder position and provide feedback to a control system.

Dovetail Reed Switches

SPEEDAIRE dovetail reed switches remotely control various operations, such as valve timings and power supply. They are ideal for use with connection ports having bore diameter of 3/4 and 4 inches. These switches remain in normally open position until a signal is passed. They also have an LED indicator for alerting about the position of the switch. Choose between 1/2 and 9 feet lead lengths of these reed switches, available on Raptor Supplies.

Dovetail PNP Switches

SPEEDAIRE dovetail PNP switches are used in automated machinery to detect the position of a pneumatic cylinder, count piston cycles and change cylinder operation. These switches remain in normally open configuration, unless a signal is passed. They have an LED to indicate about the operation and can fit ports having bore diameters ranging from 3/4 to 4 inches. Choose between 1/2 and 9 feet lead lengths of these PNP switches, available on Raptor Supplies.

Dovetail NPN Switches

SPEEDAIRE dovetail NPN switches are suitable for automated machinery for detecting the position of a pneumatic cylinder. These switches also count piston cycles and change cylinder operation. These switches stay in normally open configuration, unless a signal is passed. They further have an LED indicator and can fit ports of bore diameters ranging from 3/4 to 4 inches. Choose between 1/2 and 9 feet lead lengths of these switches, available on Raptor Supplies.

Features

  • Speedaire Dovetail NPN switches help detect the presence or absence of pneumatic cylinders. They feature a dovetail-shaped mounting bracket which is designed to fit securely into a dovetail groove on the attached machinery being monitored. These NPN switches have a transistor output that switches to a low voltage state when a cylinder is detected within the switch's sensing range. They remain in a normally open configuration unless an external signal is passed to change the state. They also include a LED indicator to display the status of operation and can fit ports of bore diameters ranging between 3/4 and 4 inches.
  • Speedaire Dovetail reed switches utilise a magnet and a reed switch to detect the presence and absence of a magnetic field. The molded switch has an in-built indicator light that can be viewed from wide angles and include mounting hardware for allowing quick installation. They are normally open and are available in lead lengths up to 9 feet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What maintenance is required for a cylinder position sensor?

Most cylinder position sensors require little to no maintenance. However, it is important to periodically clean these sensors to remove any debris or contaminants that may interfere with the sensor's operation.

How to install Speedaire position sensors?

  • Remove the screw from the barrel nut on the end of the band assembly.
  • Insert the band into the slot at the bottom of the carrier.
  • Wrap the band around the cylinder.
  • Next, locate the hole on the band that comes closest to the barrel nut.
  • Take the cut end of the band and insert it into the cap.
  • Turn the band around and insert the screw through the deep hole in the band.
  • Wrap band around the cylinder and position the switch on it, insert a screw into barrel nut and tighten.
