AC Gearmotors

Dayton AC gearmotors utilise a 115V AC power source to operate a variety of high-power applications, such as conveyor toasters, pumps, X-ray equipment, water softeners, amusement devices, valve actuators, displays, security systems and food equipment. These gearmotors consist of a motor, gear and bearings, that work together to generate high intensity torque at a low speed. They feature die cast zinc housing for excellent corrosion resistance and automatic motor thermal protection for safety during stalls or overload conditions. They come with open vented / TEFC enclosures for keeping the motor safe from overheating and moisture. Selected models are integrated with a disc brake that decelerates the speed and stops the driven machine instantly. Choose from an extensive range of these shaded pole gearmotors, available in 130 and 150 inch-lb torque ratings.

Leeson Right Angle Series gear motors are suitable for applications requiring increased torque and reduced speed output. These gear motors are used in the food processing, material handling and packaging industries and feature die-cast aluminium gear cases to withstand torque up to 238 lb-inch with stability. These gear motors have TEFC enclosures to prevent the overheating of motor windings. They have black high gloss enamel for resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces.

Leeson PZ Series AC gear motors are designed for three-phase applications and feature a totally enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure for sealing and protecting the motor from external contaminants. They feature steel housing with black high gloss enamel finish for structural rigidity and resisting oxidation reactions on the exposed surfaces. These gear motors feature double-shielded ball bearings to reduce frictional losses and parallel shaft gearboxes equipped with needle bearings for smooth power transmission.
